End TB Together: JMC’s Community Initiative

On 27th March, Jaishankar Memorial Centre (JMC) organized a special awareness program to mark World TB Day at Madanpur Khadar village.
Over the past four months, JMC has been actively working with the Nehru Nagar Chest & TB Hospital, under the guidance of District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Umesh Kumar, to mobilize communities for TB screening through portable X-ray services, sputum testing, and ensuring timely treatment initiation.
The event saw active participation from the local community and was graced by Dr. Umesh Kumar and his team. He highlighted the impact of TB on the body, shared key symptoms, addressed concerns around treatment and X-ray safety, and emphasized the importance of early detection and continued action to eliminate TB.
An engaging skit by JMC children reinforced the message of awareness, hope, and collective responsibility. The program also recognized the efforts of community champions and frontline workers who have been instrumental in supporting TB awareness and mobilization.

The event concluded with tokens of appreciation presented by the children of JMC to the distinguished guests, and refreshments were provided to the attendees as a gesture of gratitude for their participation.

This gathering reinforced our collective resolve to combat tuberculosis, raising awareness and inspiring everyone to take proactive steps towards a TB-free future. With continued community engagement, knowledge sharing, and unwavering commitment, we are confident that together, we can eliminate TB. Let’s unite for a healthier tomorrow! 💪🌍
